| stick around for ZCon. IMO low mileage doesnt really guarantee you anything. Plenty of people have gotten these "low miles JDM motors" and had problems with them not very far down the road. If it were me, and I had the $ to spend, I'd get a motor from Kyle at Import Parts Pro. Pretty much no one is higher recommended. SGP and Z1 also sell rebuilt motors as well so I dont sound biased because I have not delved into this aspect of Z lunacy....yet. But then you would need to buy a ton of ancillary items for it. You can get a list of everything you need from Z1. This route would not be cheap in the least. Or you could prowl TTnet waiting for someone to crash their TT and part it out, as macabre as that may sound to some, one man's loss could be your gain. Timing is the big variable here, and you'd hope the engine in question is from a reputable member who would not leave you in the dark about anything you need to know. OR...you could do the standard JDM front clip swap which can be less fiscally painful but seems to me to be a serious roll of the dice. Read some horror stories about this route. Again Z1 does this for people for several thousand $ and have all the info you need pertaining to it. I guess bottom line, if you want to be sure the engine is going to be free of issues, buy a rebuilt one from one of the vendors here. Good luck.
Tsk tsk, some people just don't know when to stfu search said you suck (n/m) - Wilks. 01:38:02 09/06/06 |
